Research is carried out in the application of innovative technologies in social and health sectors in Fürth, a city of science.
Traditionally the Diakonie Neuendettelsau, which was first established as a place of learning, keeps close links to Fürth – Löhes place of birth (Löhe was the founder of Diakonie Neuendettelsau).
Fürth is the first city nationwide to carry the name of "city of science". With it´s university of applied science Fürth next to Straubing commands an agglomeration of excellent scientific facilities unique in Bavaria that is exemplary in achieving a bridge between research and science.
Research groups already exist that concentrate on producing innovative products and services. These however are mostly isolated solutions that either don't connect to one another or cannot be integrated into the existing setting.
As a result there are hardly any current marketable products that have been adequately tested in practice or rather of which no ethical assessment has been made. This is where the Research Institute of the DiaLog University Ltd. begins.

The International Academy developed from the Training Center founded in 1987. It offers learning, advice and support for managers and staff of the Diakonie, for social enterprises and from industry and business. This ranges from courses lasting from half day, one-day and many days to many weeks of continuing education and extra occupational courses. Moreover there are individually tailored training and advisory courses open to companies, institutions or individuals particularly in the field of organisation and management.
Our range of courses is addressed to people wishing to further themselves professionally and personally and with the aid of extra occupational learning to contribute to improving the quality of work, the job satisfaction and job security and/or gain qualifications for a mangerial post. Last year 4000 participants attended more than 320 courses (training courses, seminaries, congresses, further education training, etc.).
