Sermons during Lent in St. Laurentius

Since 2004 the Diakonie Neuendettelsau has been organising a series of sermons during Lent with well-known people as preachers; among others politicians like Günther Beckstein, Joachim Hermann, Barbara Stamm, Markus Söder, Renate Schmidt and Christine Scheel as well as high-ranking spiritual dignitaries such as the Metropolit of the Rumanian Orthodox Church Serafim Joanta and the Head Bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Hungary, Janos Ittzes.

The sermons during Lent cover a specific topic and take place from the Sunday after Ash Wednesday till Judica Sunday (two weeks prior to Easter) at 9.30 am in St. Laurentius Church.

After the church services the person who has held the sermon is available for discussion and an exchange of ideas with the congregation.
