The diaconal communities in the Diakonie Neuendettelsau

The work of the Diakonie Neuendettelsau is sustained spiritually by the diaconal communities. The Diakonie Neuendettelsau has arisen through the community of the Lutheran sisters.

The diaconal sister- and brotherhood is open for all those who work in the Diakonie Neuendettelsau or in one of her partner organisations and who are looking for a diaconal community or are wishing to become a deacon or deaconess.

The diaconate is the mission to give service to the community. It is important for the Diakonie Neuendettelsau, to support their staff particularly in this mission and thus provide them motivation through this for their work. For this reason candidates for the diaconate are prepared in seminaries and later charged with their office of service to others and blessed in a church service.
